Looking for Success Tips in Self Improvement to Remember on Your Way to Success?
Author: Anita Burnett

When your are working on self improvement there are many steps you will need to take along the way. Included are some tips you may find helpful in both self improvement and success. Everything happens for a reason, and sometimes one thing leads to another. Your task is to learn from each and every event that happens in your life.

Did you ever see the movie "Patch Adams" played by Robin Williams. There are lot of lessons to be learned from this movie and it's one of Robin's best, in my opinion. Patch is a medical student who failed to make it through the board exams. So after months of destructive behavior he commits himself to a mental institution. Here he meets others with many different problems. Learning from what he witnessed, Patch decides he will fix his own problems and returns to medical school to become the doctor he always wanted to be. While attending school many people are affected by his one characteristic that they lack, a positive attitude. Throughout the movie Patch is constantly working at trying to get others to have a more possitive attitude. This one atitude along with his humor and disregard for following the rules eventually threatens to get him thrown out of school.

His persistance and passion drives him to inevitable success. Patch Adams is said to be one of the best doctors this country has ever had. His refusal to give up and his love for helping others as well as always looking for ways to improve himself and his relationships with others affected so many lives beyond his own.

Here are some tips to remember on your way to success;

* Stop thinking and feeling as if you're a failure, because you are not. How you see yourself is how others will see you also.
* When you see others as better than you. Stop. Beauty is only skin deep. This is usually a false image you have created in your mind. With self development you can be just as good as anyone else.
* When you feel down and low about yourself, get up and get moving. If someone around you is down, find ways to lift them up. Do not get trapped by someone trying to pull you down too.
* Life is like on big classroom. You should never stop learning from the lessons that are presented to you. If you fail at something, recognize it and move on, remembering to not let the lesson and the outcome repeat itself. Your parents, school teachers, friends, colleagues, coworkers and neighbors are your teachers that you can learn valuable information from.
* Take it one day at a time. You can not expect to become a new person overnight. If you keep at it, you will see improvements in yourself. When others start to wonder what it is you are doing differently, you know you are having results.
* Self improvement results to inner stability, personality development and ...success. It comes from self confidence, self appreciiation and self esteem.
* Set meaningful and achievable goals for yourself. Self improvement is aimed at getting you to the results you want and have planned for.
* Don't sweat the small stuff, but, little things can mean BIG things to others. Sometimes we don't realize that the little things, like a pat on the back or a simple "Thank You" means so much to others. We all want, need and should give appreciation. Do small things for big results.
* When you're willing to accept change and go through the process of self improvement, it does not mean that everone else is ready. In other words, worry about improving you, not everyone around you. As you change you will find that others may follow suit once they see the results you are achieving.
* There is no such thing as an overnight success. The winners of American Idol and America's Got Talent did not start yesterday on their gift. Athletes develop their skills over time. Leaders train.
* Do not be tempted to rate your success by your financial status. Many millionaire and lottery winners have room for self improvement.
* Keep seeking help. Once you have accomplished one goal. Choose another and receive the neccessary assistance to reach that one.

Be thankful in knowing that you are willing to change. Self development is free but you still have to work at it to be successful. Here's to your success.
