Home based business are very popular because of the American Dream of working from home and enjoying a better life from the comfort of your home. The good news is more and more people are actually doing just that . With the potential of the Internet and you have the ability to reach millions of people from a single web site. Think of how low the cost of running an online business.

You can see the popularity of Home based businesses just by looking at what words are searched for on a regular basis through Google, Yahoo, Msn, LookSmart and many others. If you look closely you will see many searched for phrases like home based business, home based business opportunity,
start home based business, best home based business and home based business ideas.

Some of the benefits of owning an home based business are:

1. Work from the comfort of your home.
2. Minimal startup cost
3. Very low operating cost
4. The ability to create residual income
5. The ability to have hours work decrease while income & margins increase.
6. The ability to help family members and other succeed.
7. Spend much more time with you family and friends and more and more...

There are many types of home based businesses, but I'm going to talk about what I am familiar with and what I am doing. I learned a long time ago that I don't have to be the leader or even the first one to do something. All I needed to do what to find someone successful and duplicate their efforts. That's what I have done and that's what I feel comfortable in telling you about. Trust me I have tried all of the bad programs and I'm just thankful that I am able travel and round the U.S. and enjoy life. As I type I'm sitting on the Gulf of Mexico watching the waves roll in outside my window. It is so peaceful here. Anyway, back to business, what I am going to talk about is creating and owning an Online Home Based Business.

Equipment, etc:

1. Computer
2. Access to the Internet - High speed if possible, but not necessary.
3. Printer
4. Email - Separate email if possible
5. Word or other software with spell check

Then I suggest you do like I have done and that was and is:

* Create a Website

* Find Affiliate programs and offers that are researched and become a middle man. When visitors go through your site the programs will give you a minimal amount. It adds up quickly and the cost to the customer is the same (sometimes free) whether they go through you or not. That's the good part.

* Develop a business plan and / or strategy for bringing customers to your site

* Update your site on a regular basis, thereby removing no performing programs and adding new ones.

* Have the companies either send you a check Bi-Weekly or monthly, via PayPal or through Direct business. How cool is that. That is exactly what I do.

That sounds pretty good right. Of course it was not as good if you have never owned an online business before much less ever created a website. Well the best is yet to come in my opinion, because after many hours of searching I found someone who had done all of the things above and was quite successful. You can imagine when I found a system that I could duplicate and not have to reinvent the wheel, well I can tell you I was ecstatic. I had thought it was going to be a long tedious process, but with the program I found I got step-by-step guidance on how to do all of the above. Was there work, well sure there was, but nothing like what it would have been. This was exactly what I was looking for a successful program that I could duplicate and it was my business in the end.
